Welcome to St.Barnabas Church, Manor Park, London E12 6PB

Peace and blessing to you

We are an Anglican parish church serving a diverse community in the London Borough of Newham. The neighbourhood of Manor Park has changed greatly since the church was built at the beginning of the 20th century, yet the task of the parish church remains the same - to be a place of welcome and care, spiritual nourishment and loving fellowship for all.

We look forward to welcoming you for worship Family Eucharist every Sunday morning, 9.30 a.m.

Refreshments are served after the service, and there is a bookstall with prayer cards and devotional leaflets. There is also a Traidcraft stall. You are also invited to bring some tinned or dried food for the local Refugee and Migrants Project (RAMP).These are offered with the bread and wine and donations and alms at the altar.

Prayer of Praise

May none of God’s wonderful works

keep silence, night or morning.

Bright stars, high mountains,

the depths of the seas,

sources of rushing rivers:

may all these break into song as we sing

to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

May all the angels in the heavens reply:

Amen! Amen! Amen!

Power, praise, honour, eternal glory

to God, the only Giver of grace.

Amen! Amen! Amen!

Third-century prayer

Our church building

(http://www.stbarnabasheritage.org/) was designed at the beginning of the 20th century by Sir Ninian Comper in partnership with Benjamin Bucknall. Providing Christian witness within a multifaith context, it is a venue where people come together across ethnic, cultural and faith differences, to discover more deeply the ground of our common humanity.

The building has recently undergone extensive structural repairs and we need funds for further restoration work. If among the many calls on your generosity you are able to help us, we would be grateful.
